The boring but important bit - terms and conditions of booking: Due to Covid -19, we have had to introduce/update clauses in Blue

  1. Reservations are accepted subject to these Terms and Conditions of Renting.
  2. Guests must not travel to Anchor Cottage if they or any member of their group are unwell, and must agree to notify us, and to return home immediately, if anyone becomes unwell during their stay. If you are unable to return home and must remain at Anchor Cottage, you will be liable for rental at the full listed price for the period that you continue to occupy the house.
  3. The Hirer has the right to occupy and use Anchor Cottage together with its gardens for the agreed period of hire only.
  4. Please bear in mind that you and each member of your party are responsible for your own and your children's health and safety whilst at  Anchor Cottage. While we will be doing everything possible to keep you safe by cleaning and disinfecting thoroughly between guests, you will need to take all common sense precautions to look after the health of yourselves and your family during your stay.
  5. Guests must take heed of any restrictions of access (e.g. to out buildings) that may be imposed for safety. We cannot be responsible for injuries caused by misuse of facilities.
  6. Bookings for groups where all guests are aged under 25 years old cannot be accepted.
  7. Deposit:  For a booking made more than 3 weeks before your holiday a small deposit of £50 must be paid at the time of booking. This deposit will be refunded in full if the booking is cancelled. We would normally charge a much higher deposit , but in current conditions, with the uncertainty around holidays, we have decided to simply reduce this to a token amount.
  8. Balance: The balance must be paid in full two weeks before your stay. If you need to cancel because one of you becomes unwell before you actually travel, you will be refunded in full.
  9. Billing for both the deposit and the balance will be via Stripe for online booking or by Paypal invoice, which can be paid online by debit or credit card.
  10. The house must be left in a clean and tidy state when you leave. Beds must be stripped and linen sealed in the bin bags provided - these should be firmly tied. Used dishes should be left in the dishwasher on a hot setting (don’t empty). All waste must be bagged and placed in the outside bin.
  11. A Security deposit is payable of £100 per stay for all bookings. This will be invoiced with your final payment and will be refunded in full one week after your stay providing that there are no issues with damage or extra cleaning.
  12. Cancellations - in current conditions with the Covid-19 Pandemic we are waiving all cancellation charges
  13. All bookings are accepted on the condition that the property is left in the same state of repair, order and cleanliness both inside and outside as at the start of the holiday.
  14. Chargeable events - Should an additional in depth clean be necessary due to misuse of the property (such as action contrary to the Terms and Conditions of Renting), the hirer will be liable. Major breakages should be reported to the owner immediately and may be chargeable depending on the situation (whether the item is repairable/cost of replacement). Maximum charge will be the  cost of the current insurance excess.
  15. Minor breakages - crockery, glasses etc. should be reported (a note on paper is fine) at the end of your stay to enable us to replace items promptly for the benefit of our next guests. Don’t worry, you will not be charged for dropping a cup or glass, but our housekeeper does not have time to do a full inventory between each changeover, particularly in high season!
  16. Sleeping Capacity. The maximum number of people staying in the property is 8 (plus one baby). Additional persons cannot be accommodated without written permission.
  17. Bed linen and towels are included in the rental cost, and beds are made up ready for your stay.
  18. If replacement bed-linen is required during your stay (due to accidents etc. ) there will be a charge of £30 per set of linen to cover laundry costs.
  19. Use of Super-fast Wi-fi Broadband, oil fired central heating , hot water, and electricity are included in the rental.
  20. Parking—off road parking is provided for two/three vehicles, and additional parking is available on the road outside. The lane leading to the Farm beside the property must be kept clear at all times.
  21. Please be considerate to our neighbours and fellow villagers! Angle is a very friendly village, where visitors are warmly welcomed.
  22. Pets: only accepted if agreed in advance, and on the following conditions: 1) Animals are not allowed upstairs at any time, 2) There should be no trace of the animal in the house or garden  when you leave, i.e. all mess, spills, hair etc. are removed from the house, and the garden. Anchor Cottage is designed as  family holiday home, and  must be kept safe for visiting children.
